Ron Perlman may be itching to play Hellboy again, but the fact that the previous two movies weren't huge moneymakers relative to their budget at the box office mean Perlman's itch may never get scratched. Could Legendary Pictures help get Hellboy 3 made?

Perlman had a great time making Legendary's Pacific Rim with Guillermo del Toro so he obviously wants to work with the studio again.

"My immediate, silent wish was, wouldn't it be great if [Legendary] came in and helped resolve the Hellboy series," Perlman told Shocktillyoudrop.

Even if Legendary is interested, its CEO Thomas Tull said there are rights issues that must be resolved before the production studio can get involved -- which may mean having to deal with several different parties.

Given the box office performance of the previous two Hellboy movies, Legendary may not want to make the effort to get those interested parties on board.
