Ridley Scott Is Also Working On A Movie About Moses

In an interview with Esquire, Ridley Scott let slip that he's also working a movie about Moses. Titled Moses, the movie sounds like it may focus on the relationship between him and his brother, Ramses II.
“What's interesting to me about Moses isn't the big stuff that everybody knows. It's things like his relationship with Ramses [II, the pharaoh]. I honestly wasn't paying attention in school when I was told the story of Moses. Some of the details of his life are extraordinary,” Scott told Esquire.
The interview didn't reveal any other details other than Scott saying Moses is “going to happen.” From Scott's tone, it sounds like Moses is pretty far along in development stage.
Scott is going to shoot the Cormac McCarthy-penned drug drama The Counselor this month and Blade Runner 2 is far from ready, with Hampton Fancher recently hired to pen the script, so we don't know where Moses falls on his to-do list. If Prometheus does well at the box office, it's almost a certainty that Scott will do a sequel because he said as much.
Warner Bros is also developing a Moses movie titled Gods and Kings that has Steven Spielberg circling to direct. Gods and Kings is like a Braveheart-ish version of the Moses story, according to insiders. We haven't heard much about the movie since January.
It's probably unlikely, but could it be they're both the same movie? Hmm....
