'Prometheus 2' Set For March 2016

Prometheus

That untitled Ridley Scott movie scheduled for March 2016 is actually the sequel to Prometheus, TheWrap has learned. Michael Green has been hired by Fox to rewrite Jack Paglen's script.

Green will finish up the Blade Runner sequel script before starting on Prometheus 2. His take will be similar in tone to the past Alien movies and will reportedly feature more than one David androids, which will be played by Michael Fassbender.

Fassbender and Noomi Rapace are both expected to return for the sequel since the ending of the first movie shows them going into parts unknown to search for the homeworld of the Engineers.

Prometheus 2 will open against an untitled Disney animation on March 4, 2016.

Scott is currently finishing up Exodus, the biblical tale about Moses and his quest to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, and will shoot Prometheus 2 this fall after Exodus is completed.
