With a Tomatometer of 10%, Grown Ups, the comedy starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Rob Schneider, Chris Rock, and David Spade, is one of the worst-reviewed movies of 2010, but because it made over $270 million worldwide ($162 million of that domestically), the movie is getting a sequel.

Most of the original cast members are expected to return for the sequel, including Maya Rudolph and Salma Hayek. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Project X's Oliver Cooper is joining the cast as a frat boy-type character.

Cooper made his feature debut in the party film Project X in which he plays one of the three main characters in the movie. It was through his actions that caused the house party to spiral out of control in the movie.

Made for $12 million, Project X has made over $70 million worldwide for Warner Bros. and the treatment for the sequel is currently being written by Michael Bacall.

Grown Ups 2 has been slated for a July 12, 2013 release, and Dennis Dugan will return to direct from a script by Fred Wolf.

Adam Sandler can be next seen in the comedy That's My Boy on June 15th. He plays a deadbeat father who tries to reconnect with his estranged son played by Andy Samberg so that his son can help pay off his debt to the IRS.
