The Three Stooges

The Three Stooges is a passion project for Peter and Bobby Farrelly and in order to get it made, they essentially worked for free. Any compensation they will receive will have come from a backend deal, and depending on how that is structured, it's possible for them to see little to no money.

Judging from the reviews, The Three Stooges is a good Three Stooges movie, provided one likes that type of slapstick humor. Those that do not will find themselves sitting through a overlong comedy skit that overstayed its welcome.

The Three Stooges currently has a Tomatometer of 43% and is projected to make somewhere in $14-$18 million range this weekend.

Described as Escape From New York in space, Lockout stars Guy Pearce as a wisecracking ex-government agent sent to a space prison to rescue the daughter of the President of the United States from dangerous criminal who've taken over the prison.

Critics say if you've seen one movie where a man is sent in somewhere to rescue someone, you've seen Lockout. Expecting the movie to be something more is just asking for trouble.

Lockout has a Tomatometer of 30% and is projected to make somewhere the $7-$9 million range this weekend.

Just by the name alone, one can tell The Cabin in the Woods is a horror movie about a group of teens, naturally, meeting their demise at the said cabin. Or is it?

Written by Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard, The Cabin in the Woods currently has an unheard of Tomatometer for a movie of its kind: 93%! So there must be something more to the movie that caused the critics to sheath their knives and instead heaped praises upon the movie.

The Cabin in the Woods is projected to make $15 million this weekend.

The Hunger Games is expected to come in number one again this weekend with a take of somewhere between $18-20 million range.
