Cloud Atlas is one of those movies that makes you question what the heck you just saw after it's over. It will do that during the viewing as well.

It's a movie with a BIG IDEAS, but those ideas are not something you can pin down or explain without difficulty.

In short, viewers are not going to like Cloud Atlas if they don't like to do mental gymnastics while watching their movies and/or don't like their movies with some a lot of ambiguities.

Comprised of six stories taking place at different eras, with many of same actors playing different roles, Cloud Atlas currently has a Tomatometer of 65% and it's trending downwards.

Made for an estimated $100 million, Cloud Atlas is projected to make around $10-$16 million this weekend, which is not good but, hopefully, the movie will do better at the box office overseas.

Jay Moriarity was a fearless surfer who got on people's radar when he took on the gigantic waves, called Mavericks, at Half Moon Bay when was 16. He lost his life during a dive in the Maldives just a day before his 23rd birthday in 2001.

The movie Chasing Mavericks takes place before his daring exploit and stars Jonny Weston as the teenage Moriarity taking surfing lessons from a grizzled veteran played by Gerard Butler.

Chasing Mavericks is a coming-of-age tale with all the trappings of the genre: broken home, bullies, best friend doing some sketchy stuff, crush on a girl who won't return his feelings initially, and a wise sage taking the place of the missing father.

Though well-acted, critics felt the movie never quite capture who Moriarity was. Chasing Mavericks has a Tomatometer of 38% and is projected to make around $5 million this weekend.

Silent Hill: Revelation 3D is the sequel to 2006's Silent Hill which stars Radha Mitchell as an adoptive mother who went to a strange town with her daughter to find out more about her daughter's past. Once there, she's drawn into a supernatural revenge plot.

You can tell by the number of years between the movies that the first one wasn't much of a hit, but it made enough to have the sequel greenlit.

In Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, the daughter is all grown up now, but she's plagued by nightmares. Once again, she'll be drawn back to the town of Silent Hill.

As expected, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D was not screened for the critics, but expect the Tomatometer to be near the lower end of the 20% range. The movie is projected to make $10-$14 million this weekend.

Finally, we come to the movie everyone want to see this weekend: Fun Size. It is the movie everyone want to see, right? Right?

Okay, maybe not, but it should appeal to the Nickelodeon and Disney Channel tween crowd since Victoria Justice is in it.

Justice stars as a high school senior who has to baby sit her little brother on Halloween night, but what she really wants is to go to a party she was invited to. She got separated from her brother while out trick-or-treating with him and has to spend the whole night looking for him.

Fun Size has a Tomatometer of 33% and is projected to make $5-$9 million this weekend.
