New 'Man of Steel' Trailer Exerts Kryptonian Grip on Your Wallet

We remain perpetually annoyed by the trailers-upon-trailers that every major movie seems to get these days, and also, far be it from this site to ever besmirch anything Terence Stamp has ever done on camera. That being said, the new (and presumably final) Man of Steel promo clip suggests a couple of things: One, that maybe some movies really do need more than one trailer; and two, as awesome as Stamp was as General Zod in Superman II, Michael Shannon just might out-Zod him here.
This trailer only runs a slim minute and 47 seconds, a fair chunk of which is taken up with a static-filled intro that reiterates Zod's previously heard demand for Superman to surrender or risk the destruction of Earth, so whoever put this together was forced to resort to a whole bunch of quick edits. Fortunately, those edits are awesome -- this is like a shotgun blast of killer blink-and-you'll-miss-'em visuals from a movie that already ranked as one of summer's most highly anticipated. And while we'd ordinarily be concerned that the film in question was giving away too much with all these sweet shots, Man of Steel is a Zack Snyder joint, which means that whatever it may end up lacking, there won't be any shortage of eye candy.
Soak it all in below, and start counting down the days until June 14.
