New 'Machete Kills' Trailer Is Muy Loco

Machete Kills

Sequels, by law, are supposed to be bigger and, well, more than their predecessors. A person could be forgiven for thinking there's no way Robert Rodriguez could possibly out-Machete the original Machete, but that person would still be wrong, and the proof lies in this gonzo clip for the upcoming Machete Kills.

And listen, there's only so much one can say about a trailer that starts with the movie's main character dangling from a prison noose, then goes on to herald the involvement of a bat-poop crazy cast that includes Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Charlie Sheen, Mel Gibson, and a shrieking Sonia Vergara (whose armored cleavage lays waste to an entire building).

Trained to kill...left for dead...back for more. Honestly, we see no reason to see this in theaters -- it's the type of movie best watched alone, with cracker crumbs and a beer resting on your belly, late at night -- but you can get in on the grindhouse action when Machete Kills makes its debut on September 13.
