New 'Great Gatsby' Trailer Highlights Soundtrack, Spectacular Visuals

The Great Gatsby

When Baz Luhrmann announced his plans to mount a new adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel The Great Gatsby -- which, you may recall, had already been turned into a pretty good movie once or twice -- and do it in 3D, no less, it was hard not to wonder what had possessed him. But now that the third (and presumably final) trailer for Luhrmann's Gatsby has dropped, it's obvious that "possessed" is the right word to use -- specifically because this is a production possessed of uncommon style, heightened drama, and visual splendor.

For anyone who hasn't read the book, this clip will veer wildly into spoiler territory -- in fact, it pretty much functions as a Cliffs Notes version of the novel with a nice soundtrack and showy cinematography -- but at this point, if you haven't read Gatsby, then you only have yourself to blame.

Speaking of soundtracks, Gatsby's Jay-Z-curated musical accompaniment has been the subject of much speculation over the past several weeks, and while you can pick out a couple of its participants in the trailer, we haven't known the full lineup until now. Check out the complete track listing below, and then feast your eyes on the trailer:

1. "100$ Bill" -- Jay-Z
2. "Back to Black" -- Beyoncé x André 3000
3. "Bang Bang" -- will.i.am
4. "A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got)" -- Fergie + Q Tip + GoonRock
5. "Young and Beautiful" -- Lana Del Rey
6. "Love Is the Drug" -- Bryan Ferry with the Bryan Ferry Orchestra
7. "Over the Love" -- Florence + the Machine
8. "Where the Wind Blows" -- Coco O. of Quadron
9. "Crazy in Love" -- Emeli Sandé and the Bryan Ferry Orchestra
10. "Together" -- the xx
11. "Hearts a Mess" -- Gotye
12. "Love Is Blindness" -- Jack White
13. "Into the Past" -- Nero
