Michael Bay's 'Pain and Gain' Cast Shaping Up With Rebel Wilson
With the cameras scheduled to roll sometime this spring in Miami, Michael Bay's Pain and Gain adds another member to its cast. According to EW, Rebel Wilson, Kristin Wiig's roommate in Bridesmaids, is joining Dwayne Johnson and Mark Wahlberg in this crime drama about bodybuilders who got caught up in a kidnapping and extortion scheme.
Wilson will play the character Ramona Eldridge. Other cast members include Tony Shalhoub, Anthony Mackie, Rob Corddry, Ed Harris, and Bar Paly.
Tony Shalhoub is playing a wealthy businessman who is the target of the kidnapping. Anthony Mackie plays a fellow bodybuilder who joins Johnson and Wahlberg in their scheme. Rob Corddry plays the owner of the gym from which these bodybuilders operate. Ed Harris plays a private eye hired by Tony Shalhoub to tracked down his kidnappers. Supermodel Bar Paly provides the eye candy and will probably play the girlfriend role.
After Michael Bay is done with Pain and Gain, he will return to direct Transformers 4 for Paramount. The fourth Transformers movie will launch a new trilogy for the franchise, and, according to producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, is a reboot of sorts with new characters but with continuity with the previous three movies.
Transformers 4 has already been pencilled in for a June 29, 2014 release.
