You know those three addition weeks of filming for Mad Max: Fury Road? It's all part of the plan and not because the movie tested badly with audiences, according to director George Miller.

"There are no re-shoots at all," Miller told The Sydney Morning Herald (via The Playlist). The plan was always to start and finish shooting the movie in Australia, he said.

"Our film, luckily after a ridiculous amount of work, is testing extremely well," Miller said. "We're very happy. There has been a lot of doubt about it, [people saying] 'it took so long', but Warners have delayed it until 2015 to go into the top weekend of the year."

This corroborate an earlier report by Badass Disgest in which someone who've seen an early cut gave the movie his/her endorsement. As for the additional weeks of shooting? Badass Disgest's source said Warner Bros. liked what Miller had done, so the studio gave the director additional budget to beef up an action sequence.

What about the rumors of a Mel Gibson cameo?

"It would have been nice somehow but, no, it's not true," Miller said.

Mad Max: Fury Road, in theaters on May 15, 2015, stars Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron.
