Lionsgate Reportedly Developing 'Saw VIII'

As if 7 movies about people getting tortured is not enough, there's going to be a Saw VIII. But we expected that.

According to Bloody Disgusting, Lionsgate is actively developing an eighth Saw movie, but the studio is in no rush to proceed unless the story is solid.

Insiders say there were talks of a reboot, but the studio will most likely go with a direct sequel. Which mean Jigsaw will return, right?

The first Saw movie is the brainchild of James Wan and Leigh Whannell, and the series has been received well, overall. Each movie, with the exception of the sixth one, has crossed the $100 million mark at the global box office.

These movies are relatively cheap and quick to make, so don't be surprised to see Saw VIII in theaters next October.
