'Justice League' Eyes a Screenwriter

Justice League

Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder must really love what they've seen in Chris Terrio's script for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, because he's reportedly in talks to report for duty again with the studio's upcoming mega-superhero movie, Justice League.

Variety calls the negotiations "early," but given that Terrio's already got a foot in the door -- and that he worked with Ben "Batman" Affleck on the Oscar-winning Argo, these discussions seem like more of a formality. Whether it amounts to great filmmaking remains to be seen, but there's clearly a brain trust operating here, and if the studio doesn't think anything's broke, they may not see the point in trying to fix it.

No word yet on a release date for Justice League -- Warners could be making sure every last one of its ducks are in a row first, in order to avoid the embarrassment suffered when George Miller's League had its plug pulled just as filming was about to begin -- but with Comic-Con under way, it seems likely we'll get some additional details soon.
