'Jurassic Park 4' Now Titled 'Jurassic World'

Jurassic World

It's taken more than a decade to get going, but the fourth Jurassic Park is officially a reality -- and to prove they finally mean it this time, Universal's given it a brand new title.

The next Jurassic sequel, due for release on June 12, 2015, will henceforth be referred to as Jurassic World -- and although we don't know much about what'll transpire once those dinos lumber back onto the big screen next summer, we do know it'll be filmed in 3D, with director Colin Trevorrow behind the cameras, shooting from a script he wrote with Derek Connolly (Safety Not Guaranteed).

The summer of 2015 is shaping up to be a legendarily crowded docket, but the June 12 weekend is all Jurassic Park's for now -- and at present, the rest of the month is rounded out by such notably dino-free would-be blockbusters as the Assassin's Creed movie and Pixar's Inside Out.
