Joseph Kosinski Directing Warner Bros' 'The Twilight Zone'

Joseph Kosinski

After directing two sci-fi movies, Joseph Kosinski is heading to the realm of the supernatural for his next. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Tron: Legacy director is in talks to direct The Twilight Zone for Warner Bros.

The Twilight Zone script has gone through several writers, with latest being Joby Harold, and it sounds like more work will need to be done.

Unlike the 1983 movie which featured four different segments, each directed by different directors, the new movie will be one story taking place in the Twilight Zone universe.

Based on the a TV series created by Rod Serling, The Twilight Zone often features stories with supernatural and/or sci-fi elements. Plot details are under wraps, but based on what's hot today, I'm guessing the new movie may be like a big screen version of The X-Files. We'll see as more details are released.

Cloverfield's Matt Reeves was previously attached to direct before dropping out to work on TV shows for Fox. Not soon after, Reeves was tapped by the studio to direct Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

Kosinski is also attached to direct the sequel to Tron: Legacy for Disney, but there's not a lot of movement on that front.
