Johnny Knoxville will be starring in a comedy for Universal that is described as Ferris Bueller's Day Off for adults, according to The Hollywood Reporter. At least, it's not another Jackass movie.

Titled Sick Day, the movie will star Knoxville as a married man who decides to skip work by calling in sick, but his plan goes terribly wrong and may affect his wife's chance at a promotion.

We can already picture the scene in which Knoxville leaps over the neighbors' fences, while avoiding their dogs, trying to beat his boss back to his house.

Jeremy Garelick, who penned 2006's The Break-Up and helmed the forthcoming comedy The Wedding Ringer, will direct. Garelick was hired to give the New Line's Police Academy reboot a rewrite back in 2012, but that project has been handed over to Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele to produce.

Knoxville is doing the voice for Leonardo in the upcoming Micheal Bay-produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot, which will be in theaters on August 8.
