Jessica Biel to Play the Femme Fatale, Viper, in 'The Wolverine'

The Wolverine

With the shoot scheduled for next month in August, Fox is filling out the cast for The Wolverine. The latest to join is Jessica Biel.

According to Deadline, she will play a character named Victoria, aka Viper. Viper will presumably be one of the characters to make Logan/Wolverine's (Hugh Jackman) stay in Japan uncomfortable.

Depending on how the story goes, Viper, despite being a villain, may end up helping Wolverine out of a tight spot or two since she does have feelings for him in the comics.

Hiroyuki Sanada has recently signed on to play the boss of the Yakuza, Shingen Yashida. Will Yun Lee is playing Shingen's son Kenuichio Harada, also known as the Silver Samurai. The other major character, Mariko, is played by Tao Okamoto. She will be the romantic interest of Jackman's character.

Directed by James Mangold, The Wolverine will take place after the events of the 2009 movie and will find Logan in Japan where he will encounter the love of his life in Mariko, the daughter of the Yakuza crime lord Shingen Yashida.

The movie is scheduled for release on July 26, 2013.
