Jennifer Ehle to Play Anastasia's Mom in 'Fifty Shades of Grey'

Jennifer Ehle is joining Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson in the Universal and Focus Feature's big screen adaptation of E.L. James' novel Fifty Shades of Grey, the first of a trilogy. She will play Anastasia Steele's mother Carla, according to Deadline.
In the novel, Carla is described by her daughter as self-centered and having the attention span of a goldfish. She has been married four times. When Carla meets Christian for the first time, she immediately took a liking to him.
Hunnam is set to play 27-year-old billionaire Christian Grey and Johnson is playing college student Anastasia Steele -- to the dismay of some vocal fans of the novels.
Sam Taylor-Johnson is directing from a script by Kelly Marcel. Production is set to begin in Vancouver on November 5th for an August 1, 2014 release.
The other two books in the series are Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed. We'll see those adapted into movies too should the first movie becomes a hit.
