It's a Wonderful Life

If you're tired of seeing It's a Wonderful Life playing on TV, there's good news. The movie is getting a sequel titled It's a Wonderful Life: The Rest of the Story, according to Variety.

In the sequel, George Bailey's grandson, also named George Bailey, is not a very nice person so an angel played by Karolyn Grimes will show him how much better the world is without him. It's quite the reversal of the first movie.

Grimes played George Bailey's daughter Zuzu in the first movie, and talks are underway with original cast members Jimmy Hawkins and Carol Coombs to reprise their roles.

At this time, no director is attached, but the plan is to have the movie out in time for the 2015 holiday season. The budget will be between $25-$35 million so special effects are minimal and don't expect any big names unless they want to take a pay cut.

Bob Farnsworth and Martha Bolton wrote the script, and if the sequel is successful, it may replace the original on TV during the Christmas holiday.
