Imogen Poots Joins Aaron Paul in DreamWork's 'Need for Speed'

For those who want their racing movies to have a bit more racing and less of that drama stuff, you'll be glad to know that DreamWorks has you covered. The studio is turning Electronic Arts' video game Need for Speed into a movie for exotic cars aficionados.
Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul is on board to play the male lead, with Imogen Poots playing the female lead.
The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Poots will play an exotic car dealer who hooks up wealthy clients to those super cars. We can only assume that Paul is one of those clients or is someone who can convince Poots' character to part with one of the cars.
According to DreamWorks, Need for Speed will be "rooted in the tradition of the great car-culture films of the '70s while being extremely faithful to the spirit of the video game franchise" -- which pretty much means illegal street racing with Lamborghinis and Porsches.
DreamWorks is hoping to turn Need for Speed into a franchise, so if the first one is successful, look for sequels to come our way.
Need for Speed is to be directed by Act of Valor's Scott Waugh, and it is scheduled for release on February 7, 2014.
