Hugh Jackman and Garrett Hedlund are heading off to Neverland in Warner Bros.' Pan. They will play pirates in the movie.

According to Deadline, Hedlund has beaten out Jack Huston and Ezra Miller for the role of Hook, who will initially be Peter Pan's ally before turning into his mortal enemy. Ryan Gosling was at one point in the mix for the role.

Jackman will play the pirate Blackbeard, the main bad guy in the movie. The studio went after Jackman after Javier Bardem passed on the role.

As for Peter Pan himself, WB will look for unknown actor to play character, which the studio hopes to discover through open casting. They are also looking for an actress in her mid-20s to play Tiger Lily.

Pan will be directed by Joe Wright from a script written by Jason Fuchs, and the movie will go up against Marvel's Ant-Man on July 17, 2015.
