Greg Jacobs Reportedly Directing 'Magic Mike 2'

While doing the press round for the Arnold Schwarzenegger actioner Sabotage, Joe Manganiello revealed that the Magic Mike sequel will likely shoot this fall.
"Yeah, it's gonna happen this fall. I think they're going to announce it soon," Manganiello told Collider.
Turns out the movie may have already settled on the director as well, according to The Playlist. No, that person is not Channing Tatum, but Steven Soderbergh's long-time collaborator Greg Jacobs.
Jacobs has been Soderbergh's assistant director since 1993's King of the Hill and has directed two features himself, so the job is not new to him.
Tatum is currently pounding away at the script for Magic Mike 2, which may have the final title of Magic Mike XXL. He and most of the original cast members are expected to return for the sequel. A release date has not been set.
The first movie was made for $7 million and grossed over $167 million at the global box office.
