Frozen co-director Jennifer Lee will adapt Madeleine L'Engle's sci-fi novel A Wrinkle in Time for Disney, according to Variety. No director is currently attached.

L'Engle's book tells the story of 14-year-old Meg Murray, who, along with her brother Charles Wallace and her friend Calvin, travels through time and space to find her missing father. Along the way, they discover that the universe is threaten by an evil being called The Black Thing. A Wrinkle in Time is the first book in this four-book series by L'Engle.

Besides Frozen, Lee has also co-wrote the Wreck-It Ralph screenplay.

Due to her work on Frozen, we may think Lee is the likely candidate to direct or co-direct A Wrinkle in Time as well, but she has a bigger role at Disney as one of the "story trust" in the animation department. We'll have to see how this develops.

Jeff Stockwell was previously set on the screenplay back in 2010.
