The Raid 2 premiered at the Sundance Film Festival to thousands of satisfied fans of the original. While director Gareth Evans was in town, we got to speak with him about the sequel. He said the action is bigger than The Raid because they actually choreographed Raid 2 first!

While Kiefer Sutherland was promoting the new 24: Live Another Day miniseries with the Television Critics Association, I asked him about the movies he filmed before returning to his trademark role of Jack Bauer. Sutherland shot the historical disaster movie Pompeii and the western Forsaken.

New 24 Series Won't Cancel 24 Movie

Since the end of the eighth season of TV’s 24, talk of a 24 movie heated up and then cooled off at least twice. When the cast returned for a new miniseries, 24: Live Another Day, that seemed almost better than a movie. 24 is back on TV! The show presented a panel for Live Another Day to the Television Critics Association, in which Kiefer Sutherland said there could still be a film, and that the film script in development is not the same as Live Another Day.

When The Expendables 3 began production, Terry Crews had just begun working on the TV series Brooklyn Nine-Nine. As of July 2013, he wasn’t even sure he could appear in Expendables 3, as Crews said at Comic-Con.

Seth MacFarlane was on a panel before the Television Critics Association for the documentary series Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey with Neil deGrasse Tyson. He produced the series. When the session on Cosmos was over, I approached MacFarlane for an update on his films. He was brief, but I got some news out of him. With Ted 2 on the schedule for release in 2015, MacFarlane has not completed the screenplay as yet.

During his break between season one and two, he filmed a role in the highly anticipated movie adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey, as Bob, Anastasia (Dakota Johnson)’s stepfather. he joked that the wholesome Hallmark channel fully supported his casting in the erotic drama.

We all know that most famous actors are shorter in person. It’s movie magic, even the biggest action heroes are normal height, except for The Rock and Clint Eastwood. They really are giants, but they’re not Expendables. The cast of Stallone’s all star films grows in Expendables 3, including Twilight and Legend of Hercules’s Kellan Lutz.

Nanny McPhee was set to be a franchise for Emma Thompson, starring as the magical governess who teaches kids to behave. Based on the Christianna Brand books, 2005’s Nanny McPhee led to a 2010 sequel, Nanny McPhee Returns so there are many fans of the nanny. Unfortunately, those fans will not be getting a trilogy, and Thompson was sorry to break it to us.
