First Image From Luc Besson's Action Comedy 'Malavita'

Malavita

Filming for Malavita, Luc Besson's latest action comedy, began eight weeks ago over in France, and here is our first official pic from the set of the movie.

Malavita stars Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Tommy Lee Jones, Dianna Agron, and John D'Leo in a story about a mafia family that was relocated to Normandy, France under the witness protection program.

They tried to fit into their new lives at first, but found themselves reverting back to dealing with problems the old “family” ways.

Since this is an action comedy, the tone for the movie may be similar to De Niro's 1999 comedy Analyze This and its 2002 sequel, Analyze That.

Besson is directing the movie from a script he adapted himself from Tonino Benacquista's book Badfellas.

Relativity Media will distribute the movie sometime in 2013.
