'The Fault in Our Stars' Trailer Dares You Not to Cry

Love and terminal illness: On the big screen, they go together just like chocolate and peanut butter. Just ask the millions of viewers who have wept their way through Love Story or Terms of Endearment or Steel Magnolias or...well, you get the idea. Into this tear-stained breach steps The Fault in Our Stars, sniffling its way into theaters on June 6.
An adaptation of John Green's YA bestseller, Fault stars Shailene Woodley as Hazel, the story's cancer-afflicted teen narrator, and Ansel Elgort as Augustus, the boy who sees past her soccer mom haircut and ever-present cannula to fall in love with the beautiful young woman inside. Will their love be enough to conquer her disease? We aren't going to spoil the ending here, but we will say this much: The Fault in Our Stars is clearly aiming for 21st-century Love Story status, and based on this trailer, it just might hit that sweet spot for viewers who love a good cry.
