"Expendables 4" Starts Shooting This Fall, Says Randy Couture at the Arnold Sports Festival

At the annual Arnold Sports Festival held in Columbus, Ohio, cast member Randy Couture confirms that “Expendables 4” will indeed be shooting this fall.
Like I said in my previous article about the film's funding, Variety did report in October 2015 that production on the fourth entry to the action franchise will start this year, targeting a 2017 release.
Now, we finally have confirmation from one of the cast members.
With the last film grossing only $39M at the US box office, the target market for “Expendables 4” will probably be China, where each subsequent film had done better than the previous. In China, “Expendables 3” pulled in an impressive $73M in 2014 while the second and first film did $53M and $32M, respectively. As you can see, each subsequent film made about $20M more than the previous. At this rate, the fourth film will probably do $100M next year in China.
New cast members have not been confirmed, but the following stars have either expressed interest or been approached: Jackie Chan, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Hulk Hogan, and even Jack Nicholson.
We'll see how the cast shakes out in the coming months.
