'Dumb and Dumber 2' Ready to Go; Shooting This September

A sequel for Dumb and Dumber was reported early last year, and now it seems like the movie is almost ready to go before the camera. According to Comingsoon, Peter Farrelly told them that they will shoot Dumb and Dumber 2 in September, with Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels onboard to reprise their roles as Lloyd and Harry.
Farrelly was also quick to distant themselves from the 2003 prequel, Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd. He said that was the studio's idea.
As far as sequels to old comedies go, one for Dumb and Dumber sounds a whole lot better than one for Twins.
While the Twins sequel, called Triplets, appears to be content with recycling the same concept with a third sibling (to be played by Eddie Murphy), the setup for Dumb and Dumber allows the characters to go to places that would seem natural in the sequel.
The first movie was about two low IQ friends trying to navigate life when a chance meeting with a woman changed both of their lives. What happened to them since then? Guess we'll find out.
Jim Carrey can be seen playing a magician opposite Steve Carell and Olivia Wilde in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. That movie will be released sometime next year.
