'Divergent' Trailer Promises Lots of Action

It's been a few weeks since we've had any YA fantasy action in theaters, but never fear -- Shailene Woodley and the gang from Divergent are on their way to thrill tweens of all ages, and although we still need to wait until next March to see the full-length film in all its glory, the first trailer is here to whet your appetite for more.

Adapted from the first installment in Veronica Roth's popular series of novels, Divergent follows the adventures of young Beatrice Prior (Woodley), who's right on the cusp of undergoing a crucial ritual in which she'll learn which "faction" she's destined to live among for the rest of her life (as well as whether she'll ever see her family again). As luck would have it, she ends up discovering she's Divergent -- a member of no faction at all -- which turns out to be just the beginning of an epic journey (with multiple sequels built in, natch).

At a tick over two minutes and 30 seconds, this clip gives away a little much for our tastes, but if you just can't wait to get a feel for what Divergent has in store, check it out below. The movie's scheduled to arrive in theaters on March 21, 2014.
