Dayo Okeniyi Joins 'Terminator: Genesis'; 2nd & 3rd Movie Filming Back-to-Back

Terminator

The Hunger Games' Dayo Okeniyi has landed the final major role in Terminator: Genesis, Deadline has learned. He beats out John Boyega and will play Miles Dyson's son, Danny.

Okeniyi will join a cast that includes Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke, and Jai Courtney.

Miles Dyson, as we recalled, is the scientist whose research is instrumental in creating Skynet, the self-aware computer system that seeks to wipe out the human race. In Genesis, Danny will take after his dad and is said to be a genius who will play an important role in the movie.

Production is set to begin this April in New Orleans, with Thor: The Dark World's Alan Taylor directing.

Since the rights to the franchise will revert back to James Cameron in 2019, the second and third movie in the new trilogy will be film back-to-back over a nine months shoot.

Terminator: Genesis is scheduled for release on July 1, 2015.
