Daniel Radcliffe to Play Igor in Fox's 'Frankenstein'

Daniel Radcliffe

We first caught word of the Harry Potter star's interest in the role of Igor in Fox's Frankenstein movie late last year, and it looks like he was able to convince the producers that he's the right person for the job.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Daniel Radcliffe got the part and is in the process of finalizing the deal.

Radcliffe's character is described as "pathologically dirty, with long hair and wearing old clown clothes."

Fox's take on Mary Shelley classic horror story may be a light-hearted comedic affair because THR's sources say the movie will have a circus tone, and the movie may actually be from Igor's perspective.

Paul McGuigan is directing from Max Landis' script. Production is planned for late-summer.

Universal and Sony are also working on their own adaptation of Mary Shelley's novel, but there is no movement from them on that front.

Lionsgate has a Frankenstein movie title I, Frankenstein out on September 13 of this year.
