Chris Pine Wanted for 'Horrible Bosses 2'

Chris Pine

Chris Pine may be trying to keep the world safe from terrorists as the new Jack Ryan, but he isn't above playing against type as one of the bosses in New Line's Horrible Bosses sequel, Deadline has learned.

According to the report, Christoph Waltz and Pine are sought to play a father and son team who would bring misery on their employees. Unfortunately, Waltz is unavailable, but Pine is still game for the role.

Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day, and, as far as we know, Jamie Foxx will be back to reprise their roles in the sequel. Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Spacey, the surviving horrible bosses of the first movie, may have cameos.

Due to scheduling conflicts, Seth Gordon is not directing Horrible Bosses 2, which is scheduled for release on November 26, 2014. That task has fallen to That's My Boy's Sean Anders.

The first movie was a surprise hit at the box office, making over $209 million worldwide.
