Box Office Showdown: The Results for Nov. 4-6

According to the weekend predictions, Tower Heist was supposed to be number one at the box office, taking in somewhere between $26-$31 million. Boy, were they all off base. Not only did it not manage to make the lower end of the predictions, it actually came in second behind Puss in Boots which clawed its way to the number one spot with a haul of $33.1 million.

All three were all high on A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas, however. The movie was predicted to bring in somewhere between $15.5-$18 million but only managed $13 million when the smoke cleared. For Paranormal Activity 3 and In Time, they were all generally within a million of the actual take.

That's it for last weekend's box office, let's come back Thursday to see what the predictions are for Immortals, J. Edgar, and Jack and Jill. Can any of these declaw Puss in Boots?
