Box Office Showdown: The Results for Nov. 18-20

Last weekend, Occupy Theaters (#OT) became the rallying cry for Twilight fans as they sit in darkened rooms to partake in the latest Twilight movie: Breaking Dawn Part 1. So did the movie pulled in something between $148 to $150 million as the prognosticators predicted?

Not quite, but the $138.1 million it did make, second only to New Moon's $142.7 million, is nothing to sneeze at either.

Happy Feet Two was supposed to tap dance its way to a $36 to $43 million opening, but the sequel ended up making half of what the first movie did: $21.2 million to Happy Feet's $41.5 million.

As expected, Immortals came in third but near the lower end of the predictions at $12.4 million.

Puss in Boots was the favorite to take fourth spot going in, but Jack and Jill had something to say about it and managed to grabbed onto that spot for itself, pushing the feline swashbuckler's movie to fifth place.
