Box Office Showdown: The Predictions for Nov. 11-13

Posted 10:04 PM November 10th, 2011 by Binh Ngo

With Immortals, Jack and Jill, and J. Edgar joining the fray, how will the prognosticators think this weekend's box office will shake out? Let's take a look at the predictions.

As you can see below, Puss in Boots appears to be the consensus pick to lead the box office with a take of around $26 million. However, the lone dissenter, Boxofficemojo.com, thinks that the Adam Sandler comedy Jack and Jill can triumph over the boot-wearing feline for the lead.

The adventure of Theseus in Immortals is either a second or third place finisher, depending on who's doing the predicting. Boxoffice.com and Entertainment Weekly both have it in second place, while Exhibitor Relations and Boxofficemojo.com have it in third place.

Jack and Jill, the comedy in which Adam Sandler plays both the brother and sister characters, is predicted to be a top three finisher, going as high as number one and as low as number 3.

The other comedy from last week, Tower Heist, is expected to battle it out with the Clint Eastwood-directed drama J. Edgar for the fourth and fifth spot.
