"The Bourne Legacy" is Back Down to 50% on Rotten Tomatoes

Jeremy Renner in "The Bourne Legacy"

Yesterday, “The Bourne Legacy” was borderline Fresh at 61% on the Tomatometer with 45 reviews. I was wondering if this Jeremy Renner starring reboot could hold on.

I guess not because, today, it’s back down to 50% with 119 reviews. This is where it’ll probably settle.

Like I said yesterday, this “sounds like a tense, taut thriller that’s not as well plotted or crafted, but is, nonetheless, an entertaining summer popcorn movie.” More critics today voted towards the Rotten side.

Anticipation is definitely higher; it jumped from 9th to 6th place on the Facebook rankings, adding 21,641 “likes” yesterday. That more than doubles the figure from the day before.

“The Bourne Legacy” opens today. I’ll probably watch this on Bluray. I do want to watch an action movie though, but I’ll wait for next week’s “The Expendables 2.” Why settle for one action star, when you can have more than ten in one movie!
