Adam Sandler's Happy Madison and Sony Adapting Youtube Short 'Bad Toys II'

Bad Toys II, a 5-minute short that was posted on Youtube in February this year by French animators Daniel Brunet and Nicolas Doust, will be turned into a full-length feature by Sony and Adam Sandler's Happy Madison, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
This live-action and animation hybrid is a parody of the highway chase scene in Michael Bay's 2003 action-comedy Bad Boys II.
Unfortunately for the French animators, their involvement in the movie will go no further than getting mentioned as executive producers in the end credits.
Since the short is a riff of Bad Boys II, the story in the movie version will have to be something different. According to the report, the movie will be a homage to big-budget action films and will center on a grown man reconnecting with his youth by playing with his son's toys.
It's unlikely Sony will use the title of the short for the movie, so expect it to be called something else down the road. Like the short, the movie will also be a live-action and animation hybrid.
