Adam Driver Not the Villain in 'Star Wars: Episode VII'?

Adam Driver

We all heard that Adam Driver will be playing one of the bad guys in Star Wars: Episode VII, but, according to the latest rumor, it may be more nuanced than that. Driver is actually playing ...

Han and Leia's son.

Driver's character will reportedly (via Jedi News) be seduced by the sweet nectar of the Dark Side, and Han and Leia will spend the whole movie trying to bring him back. Sounds like someone is not getting the parental love he's expecting and is turning an older man who he sees as a father figure and who so happens to be a Sith. If true, that's a huge improvement over the prequel episodes already.

Anyway, this is an unsubstantiated rumor so take it as you will. For all we know, this may be a hoax or some misinformation released by Lucasfilm to get us talking about the movie.

Star Wars: Episode VII, which will be released in theaters on December 18, 2015, is currently filming in London, with J.J. Abrams at the helms. Original cast members Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker are joined by John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow.

Denis Lawson, who played the X-Wing pilot Wedge Antilles in the original trilogy, was asked to return for the new movie, but he refused.

"I'm not going to do that," Lawson said. "They asked me but it just would have bored me."
