fb.indiewire.com Spike Lee's latest divisive feature, "Red Hook Summer," will be getting a theatrical release this summer via Variance Films. The Brooklyn-set coming-of-age drama will open in New York on August 10, expanding to 30 more markets throughout the month. "This is the project that Lee wanted to make, and it looks like it," Eric Kohn wrote of the film following its world premiere at this year's Sundance Film Festival, where it divided audiences.
