Fox Searchlight Close To Deal On 'The Surrogate': Sundance

deadline.com – EXCLUSIVE: The Surrogate has breathed some life into the so far sluggish Sundance acquisitions market. I’m told that a heated bidding battle with multiple distributors has been going on since the film debuted at lunchtime today at the Eccles Theater. I’m hearing that Fox Searchlight on the verge of closing a deal for upward of $6 million for world rights.
