The Bourne Legacy
fb.indiewire.com As you can tell by our exclusive chat with the director Tony Gilroy today, the secretive layers of Universal's "The Bourne Legacy" are slowly being peeled back and it appears that a larger conspiracy is in play in this new iteration of the series now led by Jeremy Renner. While we don't have a review of the film yet, our interview piece this morning called the picture "high octane chess," which was what we kind of hoped for and expected from Gilroy, the director behind "Michael Clayton." As Universal approach their August 10th release date, they're letting up on all the tightly controlled reigns of the picture and giving away more goods.
