Guardians of the Galaxy
collider.com When Marvel announced their slate of upcoming films at Comic-Con this summer, fans were incredibly excited about the line-up for Phase Two. That said, the prospect of a Guardians of the Galaxy movie was a tad questionable. The feature film adaptation is ambitious for a number of reasons, but the fact that it takes place in outer space and features a team of wildly different heroes that includes a sentient tree and a talking raccoon provides an incredibly difficult challenge for whatever filmmaker takes it on.

Guardians of the Galaxy Synopsis and Credits

From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel's “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe.
